Illustration: an aerostat holding station above a container port at dusk, its tether running down to the yard, cranes and a ship lit along the quay.

Illustration

One view over the quay, the stacks and the water.

Cranes and container stacks hide low drones, and the perimeter runs out over water. An aerostat above the port sees over all of it.

The problem

Ground sensors lose drones behind stacks and cranes, and radios lose patrols behind steel.

How it is bought

Monthly coverage after a pilot. We own and run the aerostats. A second one covers when the first is down, and ground sensors cover storms.

Detection only

Ports buy warning. Any response stays with the authorities.

Privacy

What the cameras cover and keep is agreed with the port before the first flight.

Questions

Can an aerostat detect drones over a port?

That is what the early-warning payload is for. From above, it looks over the stacks and cranes. Detection range depends on the sensor and the weather, and we will publish it once measured.

What happens in a storm?

The aerostat comes down before the weather arrives. Ground sensors cover the port until it flies again.
