Early use

Illustration

One steady view over the whole site.

Day and night cameras held a few hundred metres above a port or plant. They see over stacks, tanks and cranes, and out across the water.

How it works

Ports and plants are large, flat and full of things that block a view: container stacks, cranes, tanks and pipe racks. Cameras on poles each see a slice. From a few hundred metres up, one camera sees over all of it, and the station keeps it there without a crew standing by.

Where it stands

Early use. Pilots are planned on the autonomous aerostat demonstrator, at 100 to 300 m.

Same yard, two heights

Drag to compare

A mast sees the nearest stacks. The aerostat sees every lane.

The same container yard, from the top of a 30 m mast and from a few hundred metres up.

What it does

  1. 01

    Perimeter

Fence lines, gates and the waterside, watched from one place.

  2. 02

    Operations

Berths, yards and traffic at a glance, with a recording.

  3. 03

    Safety

Smoke, fire and hot spots, seen early with thermal cameras.

  4. 04

    Drones

Low drones over the site, flagged in the same view.

Limits

What it cannot do, so a site knows what to plan around.

  • Fog, heavy rain and dust shorten what cameras see.
  • Sites near airports need airspace approval first.
  • In storms the aerostat comes down, and ground cameras carry on.

Before we sell it

What we will measure and show first.

  • Share of the site seen, checked against a site map
  • Hours of coverage, by weather
  • What the site's own teams spotted first from above

Questions

Can an aerostat watch a port or a plant?

Yes. Day and night cameras a few hundred metres up see over the container stacks, cranes and tanks that block cameras on poles. Weather and airspace near airports are the main limits.

How is site monitoring bought?

Monthly coverage after a pilot. We own and run the aerostats, and what the cameras cover and keep is agreed with the site before the first flight.
